    Preheat oven to 350.

Put enough water in the bottom of a broiler pan just to cover the bottom. Put in the oven until you see a little steam.

Remove wrappers and separate the burgers and place on the slotted broiler. Cover with foil. Place on steaming bottom portion. If the meat is stuck to one bun that's fine.

Heat 15-20 frozen, 10-15 thawed. Remove from oven and let sit a couple of minutes still covered with foil.

Or the short version: steam them unwrapped.

Since we don't have any retail outlets here in Nuevo Mexico, I'll hit the frozen foods section at my local supermarket tomorrow.

    Long live White Castle!!!

PS: This has turned into a long thread. Someone please tell me the best way to heat a frozen White Castle.
OK TNC, it doesn't matter how you heat a White Castle, nuke em or regular oven. If they seem too dry in the nuke-em oven, wet a paper towel, ring it out and spread over the biscuits. I don't think that oven baking is any advantage. Yep, retire, then start messing with things that should just die....and revive this thread! You have too much time on your hands already!

I have been craving a bag of sliders and just found out that there is now one in Chillicothe Ohio.

That is only 88 miles from my home.

    Road Trip!

Two days after F-K-L left the area I drove by the WC in Algonquin...I was for sure going to drag him through there and forgot. Next time!

I just knew if I mentioned WC sliders in the off beat snacks thread, that this thread would come back to life once again.

In my teens (55+ years ago) I once downed 15 at one sitting. I have never ever tried that again. Don't tell my cardiologist, but I still buy the occasional frozen package of WC's at the super market.

    That's right, you did.

I was wondering what triggered my cravings.

    Thanks.

When nuking anything with bread or buns, I've found that first enclosing it in a zip-lock bag prevents the bread/buns from becoming rock hard. It's also a good way to emulate a steamed bun. If you're reheating extremely dry bread, it pays to add a few drops of water in the bag but I've rarely had to. I recommend not closing the bag entirely as it can burst if heated for long. I close it all the way except for about the last 1/4 inch of the zip.
