    Using lasers on mosquitos???

    I thought this was a joke until I was sent the link.

    I think it is an elaborate hoax. Almost all of the news stories are over a year old. If you look for newer information, you get a couple of hits from wierd news sites that re-hash the old articles. Nobody has commercialized it, nobody has deployed it. And I don't believe it.

    It was a real company.. and there was a video out there, i want to say on Fox News a while ago..

    And the Libs said nothing was going to come from SDI, Star Wars,.... well the Soviet union collapsed trying to keep up and we have the cooled bug zapper on the planet! I'd say its a win!

    Just because there was a company doesn't mean it wasn't a hoax. The determining fact would be whether there was a product that worked, or whether they faked the evidence - or at least hyped the potential - for real-world use only to get the money and run.
