The price of liberty has been paid for with the blood of over 500,000 lives, over 1 million if you count the Civil War (Which I think we should.) On Memorial Day I do not want people to thank me for my military service, I want them to remember the ones who they can't thank.

Here are my two favorite clips to look at on Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July. God Bless our troops !

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

texastaurusguy, Thank you for the video's. I enjoyed them both. My Mother and Step Father had the pleasure of meeting Oliver North at a dinner once and had nothing but nice things to say about him. I think his last story about the American soldier who carried a wounded Iraqi soldier gave me goosebumps "....because we're American's and that's what we do!".
