Let it go to vm, then if you have, as I do, AT&T call protect, mark that number with a "Block".

My wife can block them with her cell phone without calling someone. They just call with another number, or they spoof a legitimate number in my area code.

Call block only works if they are using their actual number.

These days, most of the spam calls I get are coming in with a fake ID. From what I understand, the phone scammers are generally using a VOIP program and calling from a computer rather than an actual phone these days and routinely spoof the caller ID.

The same recording of a little Chinese lady yelling at me comes in from numbers scattered all over the country on the work cell- which I have to answer during work hours. I've quit even bothering to report the numbers on the national Do Not Call list since it's not the real number. One day, it's a number from Atlanta, the next it's Houston, New York or someplace in The People's Democratic Republik of Kalifornistan.

The problem with blocking numbers is that my caller ID shows the incoming call as being from a local location, even the hospital, so I hate to block them...just in case. I just tell them to give me the last 4 digits of the card number and I'll tell them if they've reached the right person. They hang up instantly.

My system has a free feature that only allows robocalls to ring once, then hangs up on them.

I set my default ring tone to silent no buzz. Than I add the ring tone I want to everyone in my contact list. Basically my phone only rings when when it is someone in my contact list. Can create an issue if I am waiting on a call from an unknown number. In that case I can quickly change the ring tone back so I can hear it.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

Scammers spoof the number and it looks like they are clling from my own location, and it's pretty easy to determine, because my phone number originally was from a Loo-ooo-ng way from here.

So I put on my very best "amped up, seven-cups-of-coffee-every-hour" voice and respond, "You're caller number three. You're on the air to tell us about your bad experience with Big Mike's Auto. Go ahead!"

Funny, none of them ever say anything about Big Mike. Most never call again, either.
