All this time and just a 1000 rounds or so in the safe.

Hmmm. I've never had the itch to reload, but I thought maybe it would be something I may try in years down the road. But heck, if you've been doing it for 50 years and aren't done yet, I think it's too late for me to start.

Started in banging out .222 at the kitchen table on a Lee Loader right around that time.

I'd love to explore rock locks. I have 3 cap locks bought primarily for hunting, but flinters need REAL BP to go bang. Pyrodex don't cut it. I think the nearest gun shop to me that sells the stuff is 130 miles away in San Antonio....IF they are still in business. I heard about the place on the net, never been there. I know, I know, I can order it by the semi truck load, but I refuse to buy 100,000 lbs of the stuff. Actually, with the proper modifications. I rather like the Blackhorn 209. It shoots so clean, you don't have to swab your bore every other shot. I like that a lot, but it takes a FLAME to set it off and you ain't gonna do that with a rock.

I may do that some day, but at the rate I shoot front stuffers, would take more than the lifetime I have left to burn that much.
