    Something screwy???

A friend asked me a question about a Rossi rifle, and while I *knew* the answer, I decided to check the website.

Tried to open http://www.rossiusa.com in Chrome → 404 Error. What? I didn't know Rosi had gone out of business. Hadn't heard anything. Couldn't find anything.
Tried Firefox. The Rossi website opens fine.

Some weird techno-glitch? Or our web overlords pulling their anti-gun stuuuuf again? Would some of you try it and see if these results are repeatable?

If the Russians hacked Clinton's email then she is guilty of a felony for exposing classified information to a hostile government.

    Thanks Bobo... er, bobbo...

So there probably is a problem with the certificate that the browsers treat differently. Hopefully Rossi will get it straightened out.

I'm guessing that they changed/renewed their certificate and it hasn't propagated to all of the nameservers.

Same as glenwolde, Win 10 and Chrome 79.0.3945.130.

But in the Chrome address bar you will see one of three icons: A lock, an exclamation point or a triangle. The lock indicates a secure (HTTPS) connection. The exclamation point indicates a non-secure connection. The Rossi site has this. Click it and you will see this message:

    Name: Rossi.jpg
Views: 26
Size: 98.0 KB

Click "Learn More" and get this message:

    Name: Secure Page.jpg
Views: 22
Size: 78.1 KB

When I click in the address bar and press the back arrow (not back space) key, I see the whole address which includes the HTTPS preface. However when I press enter the lock icon flashes and the exclamation point icon appears. This seems to indicate a problem with the site certificate.
Whatever adjective or verb comes to mind, I am...NotSo.

As far as Rossi going out of business, no.

The production line of revolvers and handguns was acquired by Taurus. Rossi currently produces only hunting rifles, shotguns and traditional line of Puma rifles. It also has a line of own airgun, known as Rossi Dione.

Since 2010, Rossi no longer produces firearms for sale in the Brazilian market,[5] and dedicates itself exclusively to the importation and distribution of airguns and airsoft, a sport that remains popular in Brazil since its legalization. Rossi guns can still be found in the foreign market, made by Amadeo Rossi (exclusively for export) or by Taurus.
