Rene Auberjonois - ST DS9 Odo - RIP

Those of you who may have been fans of Star Trek DS9, will probably remember him, but he played many other roles as well.
Sorry to see him go, but may he Rest In Peace!

I remember him most in film as the preacher in The Patriot, and in Boston Legal on television. He was a very versatile actor, I enjoyed watching him. Rest in peace !

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

Yes. The Patriot. This is an excellent scene where Auberjonois shines. True then and true today.

He will be missed. His character Odo in DS9 was enjoyable. The non human characters carried that show.

He was also the chaplain in the movie "M.A.S.H.", with Elliott Gould as Trapper John and Donald Sutherland as Hawkeye Pierce.

I met him once at the Washington Dulles airport.
He was coming back from London after performing in a play there.
He was very nice, and happy to meet a fan.
I was surprised that I seemed to be the only one that recognized him.

Odo, may he rest in piece..................
There are "four boxes" that can be employed to resist the downfall of America, the ballot box, the soap box, the jury box and, lastly, the ammo box.
