    monty python for real?

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/off-duty-...meryville-mall

Off-duty California police officer attacked by teens after helping woman who said phone was stolen

Why do you need high capacity magazine when cops and security are everywhere. Because you have to protect the police and security.

I don't understand the whole thing. The cop said he needed to help the woman, but all he did was take out his phone and start filming? Of course, if he took out his gun, he'd have been fired for excessive force.

It sounds like they have been visited by some evil woman named Ann Archy.

Pack animals attacking the weak. And it goes to show that, even in a gun-free zone in an almost-gun-free state, even though a person is licensed to carry, trained to use and actually carrying a firearm, choosing not to employ it in this situation might have resulted in markedly different results.

"... one of his friends came up behind me and struck me in the back of the head."

With a skateboard or other weapon that rendered the officer unconscious. They had already taken the woman't phone, they likely would have gone through the officer's person. And found his weapon. Now what?

Kilvinski's Law. It might not be PC in today's environment but IMO following it in this type of situation will get you home:

Whatever adjective or verb comes to mind, I am...NotSo.

One of my goals in life is to shoot more people on purpose than I do by accident. So far, so good.

    Now what?
Now that he didn't identify and have his gun out and ready to defend himself from being attacked or not stopping the attack on the woman because he didn't follow training or was not trained at all?
Just saying police or producing a weapon would have a different than stop that guy with a phone. If they didn't stop and run when he pull his peace maker and said police, rest in peace was in order. Its how we keep the peace.
