Been a member since July 2011. The folks here are down to earth and you can talk about whatever is on your mind. And that's pretty nice. I've made some friends over the years and gotten together with some of the Florida members.

All in all it's been a special part of life and I'm grateful for TA. I hope to be around for a long time to come

    Congratulations!!!!
There are "four boxes" that can be employed to resist the downfall of America, the ballot box, the soap box, the jury box and, lastly, the ammo box.

You folks make this place what it is and I appreciate all of you guys. I also have learned so much while participating and enjoy spending time here. I also know exactly how old my PT 1911 SS is by my start date as researching that platform brought me by the first time.

Happy and blessed holidays to all of you and many more years of shootin' and hootin'

This is a nice thread. Would like to open it up a bit as Czeckers brings up. What brought you to TA.net?

I'll start. I was looking to buy my first handgun. All my guns then were those my dad had given me over the years growing up and the only handgun was the Ruger MkII 22. I ran across a Taurus PT140 and didn't know anything about the brand. My dad was familiar with the brand but didn't own any (he does now). I googled Taurus and this site was near the top of the choices listed. I came here as a guest and read the old stickied thread about how to identify your generation of Millenium Pro pistol; looked around a little more and decided to buy the gun and decided to hang around here as my default "tech support". Was it a good choice? I say heck yeah! I didn't know the difference in single action vs double action; hammer fired vs striker fired, etc when I started.
