    I did that last Tuesday.
Bought some hamburger and chicken breasts at Costco.
It was warm inside and I didn't get rained on.

You should be good up to 2 hundred yards with either of those beauties, and your young eyes.. One of my work buddies brought me his Bergara model 700 because he missed his one shot last year. I looked at the rifle , scope mounts, and scope. All was perfect. I shot it at 50 yards with a 3 shot group of 1/2 an inch. So I invited him out to try it out at 50 from a rest on my back porch. Now you gotta understand Gabe is somewhat of a legend around the office, for tracking and shooting skills. He sent one down range and hit the bullseye hardly trying. The moral of the story, it isn't always old eyes vs new eyes, often the issue is becoming so comfortable with your platform, one forgets the basics, and misses that one deer.

If distance is the issue......just move the freezer closer.

I shot two turkeys last week end.

    I love Costco.
All our meat has to be labeled "pre-killed".
I have never had to drag 5 lbs. of hamburger out of the woods and then dress and clean it.
    Live chickens are just icky.
