They should fix it, don't be nostalgic about something so destructive.

Yup, it's the fault of that darn bridge! All those drivers that ignored the low bridge signs are completely innocent.

That bridge is just as guilty as all those guns we need to ban!

    Don
I see gun control as waiting in an ambulance at the bottom of a cliff when we should be building a fence at the top!

“…democratic socialism, the great utopia of the last few generations, is not only unachievable but that to strive for it produces something utterly different – the very destruction of freedom itself. It's the fault of the idiots who designed the bridge.

All that cost to only raise it 6"? Would have been much cheaper to put one of those bars with sensors hanging down so that if you hit the sensors the alarms go off, because if you hit the sensors you would hit the bridge. Much cheaper than raising a bridge and I bet there will still be people who will run into the 6" taller bridge.

Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.
