I would like to see that in context because that is not in any article I have read.

You can go to YouTube and listen to the actual videos of her on the witness stand.

So what we can gather from this is police officers are no longer human beings and must be held to higher standards if they were ever a police officer. Standard rights afforded to Citizens do not apply to them. How many times have we heard or even said on this very board "when seconds count police are only minutes away"?
I would also question her police training as when asked about shooting, she clearly stated that she was shooting to kill; not stop the threat which is preached to everyone who legally carries a firearm for protection or for their jobs.
At what point is she to be considered to be a citizen and at what point a law enforcement officer? It's clear she can't be both.

She was off-duty so whether in uniform or not, she should've handled the situation as a citizen, not as a cop responding to a call.

    That makes it premeditated.

She must have also said that in her statement to the investigating authorities. I had wondered why murder instead of manslaughter. I sat in the jury of a murder trial in Houston. The guy did it, but he didn't set out to kill the person. In fact, he and a friend were trying to flee from what they thought were MS-13 gang members. Manslaughter, yes. Murder, no. If she was planning on shooting, before she entered someone else's home, yeah that's murder.

^^ That's my greatest fear if/when called for jury duty. At this stage in my life, I don't need to wallow in the details of heinous acts.

Uh oh, Botham Jean neighbor, Joshua Brown, key trial witness in the trial just shot dead outside apartment.

No reference for it yet as it just flashed across my new feed screen.

Guess the race baiters didn't approve of his testimony.

He was a witness for the prosecution who helped convict Guyger. I guess that would mean that another LEO may have had motive here.

    From her own testimony:

[Your training says that when you're at this point here for officer safety to maximize your safety do not go inside that apartment]

    "On a call"

[Your general orders indicate that you are on duty 24/7]

    "They do."

[And you know that that training is designed for your safety first and foremost.]

    "Yes, sir."

[And that's not only what your orders are, that's how you guys are trained.]

    "Yes, sir."

[So for your safety, you should have taken a position of cover and concealment and got help and instead you decided to go in]

    "Yes, I did go in."

    [You had a police radio on you, didn't you?}

    "I did."

    [Did it work?]

    "It did"

[You live two blocks away from police headquarter?]

    "Yes sir"

[You know that when you call out as a police officer, the number one thing for every other police officer is to come and help you if you say that you need help]

    "Yes, sir"

[You know that the response time would have been two minutes...You could have had the calvalry mobilize...you could have had SWAT mobilized...you could have had K-9s mobilized]

    "Yes, sir"

[And had you done any one of those things, Mr Jean would probably be alive today, right?]

    "Yes, sir"
