Squirrels and rabbits, just hold your line and let them decide, anything bigger it's best to slow as much as possible, then square yourself up and pray.

I have a saddleman on my FXDX and my wife has a mustang seat on her Sportster. We go to Texas about once a year on the bikes and the seats make all the difference in the world. Looks like a great trip.

My wife will not go with me either.

But, after this trip where she has just gotten to look at all the pictures I took, she is warming up to the idea of me getting another bike that will accommodate her.

I am looking at a nice 2006 Honda Goldwing with only 7000 miles on it. That should do the trick!

You should go. I worked my way up by taking trips that got ever so longer each time. I was up to about 150 miles out and back for a total of 300 miles in a day when I did this trip.

I drove over 400 miles getting home in one day.

If I had had my wife with me, we likely would have broken that up with more stops and a layover for the sights. I hurried back because I missed her.

I put fresh Pirelli MT66 Tires on it for the trip and they performed wonderfully.

It was a great ride and the bike handled it perfectly. The only issue I had was the stock seat got uncomfortable after about 200 miles. I am looking at a new Mustang Seat for it.
Look in to a Corbin. I used them on my Gold Wing and my Kawasaki Nomad. I could go tank to tank in those saddles..

The Dragon is a blast! Seat wise I preferred the Corbin seats for the long haul. Mustangs are a little bit better than stock, but minimally. A sheepskin will help with the overheating of the cheeks on any seat.
