9/11 Thread- Never Forget And say A Prayer For the Fallen.

As one working for one of the major airlines at the time, I took it pretty personal that those bastards took MY airplanes to commit these murders. NEVER FORGET and do not let our progeny forget. We forgot the attack on the same real estate in 1993 and this is what we got in return.

If we keep this as a memorial to the attack, we might be able to keep this here and not behind the Politics screen.

Yeah, tough to forget for me too. My uncle was in the second tower and watched the first plane hit. He was in the stair well around the 30th floor when his tower got hit. He made it out thank The Lord.

I've been thinking about it for the last few days. I think about certain dates when they come around. Dec 7, 1941, August 6th and 9th 1945. I reflect on them and the lives lost. I've Japanese friends, that like to remind me about August 6th and 9th, I remind them and ask, would what had happened occurred if what happened on Dec 7th 1941 didn't happen?

9/11 was never really resolved to such a conclusion like WWII. We are still dealing with it around the world. So I suspect there will be another one, one day or worse. I hope not, but a lot of people in the world hate us and for the wrong reasons.

Never forget. As soon as the hit was confirmed as a terrorist attack, I sent everyone in our office home - worse butt chewing I ever received from upper management. People should always be aware that islam did it, and we should never turn our backs on evil like that again. How can you defend against an enemy that you refuse to recognize ?

Yeah...they should have stayed at work and gotten nothing done. I know because I stayed at work.

Like the assassination of JFK or the moon landing, the attack on 9/11 is certainly a day I'll never forget. I was working in New Jersey and listening to a NYC radio station when they announced the planes hitting the towers. Small planes striking tall buildings in NYC was not unheard of, but when we learned that two passenger jets had struck, we knew it was an attack. I remember seeing Air Force jets flying over low and fast, an unusual event and they were the only ones flying after the attack which was highly unusual for that area. You get so used to always seeing planes that it was a bit eerie when they weren't there. Train service running to NYC had been halted as was bridge and tunnel traffic into the city. I left work early to make my way home to PA which was about a 50 mile ride. There were some concerns as to whether the bridges from NJ to PA would be open. I had trouble contacting my wife due to the overload of calls being made. On the way home I passed a NJ State Police barracks that had tractor trailers lined up across the front of their property to keep anyone from getting at them. My main concern was getting home to my family.
