    The Deadliest Hunter

Over the last twenty years responsible for 40,000,000 human deaths. Killed more people than any other cause of death in human history.
I found the article very interesting. Any guesses before you click?

40,000,000 is too big for this to be primarily about the US. So we have to think globally. Honestly the only human activities that have that kind of killing reach are socialist governments, and maybe public health issues, like contaminated water. Could be famine - Stalin killed about six million Ukranians by causing a famine, but would you file that under socialism, or famine?

The number one cause of death in human history (premature death, obviously, since lack of blood to the brain has killed everyone who's ever died, so it's a trite answer) is communicable disease. Is it a question of which one? Mosquitos and fleas are huge killers, with a variety of diseases. Malaria, dysentery, Spanish/bird/swine flu...

Oh, wait, I've got it; pinkeye.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if ticks were only a little behind the mosquitoes.

Mosquito borne diseases kill on average 5500 people a day. I believe it so the only animal in existence who only specific purpose is to kill.
When people lose their way and begin to vote for their own yokes and chains and suddenly we’re all wearing them, when Government turns tyrannical and the light of liberty is being extinguished.... our 2nd amendment is our ONLY hope.

    Oh crud.
Are we all going to die again?
I hate it when that happens.

What I always wondered about this little factoid is that the mosquito doesn't do the killing, the disease it carries does.
