Well, there's only so much I can do with my myelofibrosis. a type of bone marrow cancer. I'm anemic as all get out from it. The chemo I'm taking is supposed to fix things, but hasn't yet. For $13700 a month (quoted cost from Incyte) you'd think it'd work better, but I guess it IS keeping me alive, so I don't gripe too much. I'm just learning to live with it.

But, I never was THAT into working out.

My workout so far today. I cut the grass, vaccumed and washed dishes. active is about all the workout my doc wants me to do if that. Heat index 115 today so I'll wash cloths. I'm out off the yard until about dark. Now back in the day of not working hard behind a desk, i liked my total gym and free weights at home. Even going to the ymca gym to rehab an injury , pool, treadmill, free weights and steam sauna .

To lose weight? Walking and or running. Oh yea, hide the spoon and fork.
getting in shape, lift low weighs with high reps. Getting "cut" lift high weight low reps.

Hmm, never thought to vacuum the dishes, just load the dish washer. I need to get the cat hair off the carpet today. Don't stay that way, but at least for a few days it's nice. The biggest pain is dumping the vacuum cleaner. Have to go out in this heat. We're about to your level on the heat index and we've had multiple days of 100 degrees or more on actual heat, let alone any index. I pity the Houston fire fighters. They're all griping about the trucks that the city won't fix the AC in.

I've lost 20 pounds in the last three months, no special work outs. I have just cut back on the "fork lifts".
