    That is a very interesting article.
    Poles flipping, solar radiation, extinction events, satellites failing, cats and dogs living together.
    What could be better?
    Most people will probably die because their cell phone stops working.

    Probably not.
    Halfway down the barrel the magnetic fields would change, and the bullet would try to spin in the opposite direction.

    Every 200,000 to 300,000 years, Earth’s magnetic North and South poles swap places, an event that opens the planet up to solar radiation and coincides with major extinction events.
    And yet humans somehow survived this event way back then. Of course now some people wouldn't be able to survive without their smart phones.

    Wow. What a lame article. Not one word about HOW the tree rings carbon levels document the effect. I'm guessing they will say the higher levels of cosmic radiation cause higher rates of production of C-14 in the ecosphere, but why leave us guessing?

    And how much might the levels rise? Maybe the analysis will give us some idea of that.
