I dunno......maybe it's just me but as far as I'm concerned......all this hi-tech, CG stuff ruins a lot. There are some things that don't translate well from animation or primitive graphics and special effects, to more realistic CG. When it comes to fantasy, making it too real actually takes the realism out of it. Fantasy and reality need to remain in their respective realms or it just doesn't work.

My high school buddies and I used to go see the Godzilla movies in the early 70s just to have a laugh and eat some popcorn. I've seen a few since then, not sure about this latest one. I'll watch this thread an' see what y'all have to say about it.

One movie I would camp out overnight (not really) to see:

    GODZILLA VERSUS DROGON

I'm not a G.O.T. fan by any means, but I'd pay premium bucks to see Godzilla kick that Game of Thrones lizard's butt.

Godzilla is listed as an associate member of the Tokyo Urban Renewal Committee.

Just think, a permanent infrastructure program.

Loved all of the old ones! Have always wondered how many times Tokyo had been rebuilt after Godzilla supposedly destroyed it.
I think the new one here probably won't be nearly as campy as the older ones, but I might just go see it anyways.
Not seeing Mothras tiny singing twins in the trailer.

Personally, I was a Gamera fan......nothin' scarier than a big, flyin' turtle.

Went with some friends last night. It was good. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. There were a decent number of atomic breath blast over the first movie.

These last two are definitely standalone from all the other Godzilla movies.
