    I am very thankful

Just to say to the spirits of my MIL and FIL a big Thank You for producing the child who would later become my Lady Wife. You did GOOD work.

It is 6 years ago this date that my Lady Wife moved on to whatever comes next after this life.
For what ever reason, she stuck with me through 8 years of dating and chasing (yes, I am slow) and 39 years of wedded life.
God must have needed the help, but I surely would have been happier to have her still with me.
    I miss her every day.

    Thanks for listening.

Anyone who wants to take my guns ... bring your lunch -- maybe dinner too. It's going to be a LOOOOONG day for you.

Some of us get lucky. There are none luckier than me.

You've got quite a good attitude there--thankful for what you had. Many would be bitter for what was lost, rather than thankful for what had been. I'm sure it is difficult and I can only imagine (but I don't even want to do that--it chokes me up just thinking about it).

She would be happy you turned out okay, wouldn't she?

She lives on in your heart and all the times when a word or song comes to mind.
“…democratic socialism, the great utopia of the last few generations, is not only unachievable but that to strive for it produces something utterly different – the very destruction of freedom itself. As has been aptly said: ‘What has always made the state a hell on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it his heaven.'” F.A. Hayek

A touching tribute. You were - and obviously still are - truly blessed.

pathfindercec, you are a good man and obviously, your wife was a fine person.

Here's a Winnie the Pooh quote, I tell my children(young adults) from time to time.

If there comes a time when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever.

You and your wive obviously had a really great relationship. It may be hard, but as the aphorism goes "Time heals all wounds."
That is NOT to minimize your pain. I wish you healing.
