Yup, if these skeeters get any bigger, I will start using them for bait on Bream beds.
Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

I know there are plenty of mosquitoes around here, since we've had some decent rains, and water standing. Thing is, the wind has been a nuisance for weeks, so those bugs are laying low. Next calm day, I expect to be eaten alive.

Well, all I can tell you all is when I was stationed in Kotzebue Alaska, we had mosquitoes the size of B-25s and they were known for dropping 500 pounders and then drawing blood from the survivors.

I'll have you know that here in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, there's not a single mosquito! Nope, they're all married!

Actually......it's the land of 9,999 lakes and one really big pond but the 10,000 lakes thing fit better on the brochures. If mosquitoes get divorced......does the male have to pay larvae support?

Ah, the heavy price I pay for living here in Pure Appalachia. I doubt if I have been bitten by a mosquito in a decade. Of course, we do have spring, summer, autumn, and winter here,

Anyone want to share a sample, just so I can refresh my wonderful memories of Texas?
