Drug-resistant Candida auris - Fungal Infection May Be The Next Plague

I saw this first a few days ago and the report that said that a hospital had to strip a room to include ceiling, flooring, etc and scrub it down and the spores were STILL present.

Maybe Ricky is right...we ARE all going to die...from something.

Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive. - Noah Webster

That isn't the most sanitary part of the country.
In New York I'd worry more about the 50lb. rats they are growing.

"We're all going to die." Pretty much the world-wide standard ever since Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden.

God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave. - Stonewall Jackson

There's so much we don't know about the world we live in, and fungi is one of the least known and yet one of the most abundant and widely distributed forms of life. Could we all be wiped out by a certain strain of fungus? Absolutely. If you really want to gain a healthy respect for their place in the food chain, check this out.

Man's fascination with his own demise is, well, fascinating.
I could speculate on all the speculation but second guessing all the second guessing
    would just be second guessing.
Fear sells papers and makes money.and keeps people glued to the "Tube of Death".
Tell them they are going to die and you have an audience.
You can have an outbreak of Turret's Syndrome in the Kremlin and folks in Idaho start worrying.

I think "cute" is probably pushing it a little to far.
