    It snowed today!

Was at the drug store in Columbus and about 5 pieces of sleet and two or three snow flakes came down on the truck. I ran inside to tell the wife and all the store employees ran to the window...."Oh, WOW, it IS snowing!"

See, that's a south Texas blizzard.....not inclusive of the blizzards at Dairy Queen.

You should have got a cell phone video of it to show your great grandkids.

We just finished two days of freezing rain here. EVERYthing has about ¼" of ice on it, tree limbs crashing down, 12°F, very beautiful if you don't have to go out in it. But hey, it's supposed to get back above freezing by Monday with another half inch of freezing rain before then.

    'Tis the season.

Yeah, in two days, highs are 70s. Oh, well, it's February. I had to get out and tend my feeder/game cameras on my ATV. It is WET and SLOPPY, but has been all winter. Kinda fun goin' muddin'. It's earned its name ALL TERRAIN.

It's snowing here now. We are suppose to get about a week of it.
This is the ONLY time I miss having a television.
I loved to watch the teleblabbers up north in Seattle lose their minds over 17 snowflakes.
They were sure the world was going to end.
But I thought it was appropriate.
Snowflakes IN Seattle. Snowflakes ON Seattle.
    Life is good.

Well, it was 85 degrees today with blue skies and big fluffy white clouds. Supposed to go down to 63 tonight

Things are back to the way they should be, life is good!

Only thing in the sky around here today was a bunch of F15s and F16s doing some training out of Patrick Air Force Base. We don't get many of those aircraft around here. Patrick is pretty much known as the 45th Space Wing, or some such title. Anyway, no snow!

Woke up to 4 degrees F and 30 mph winds. I thought that the wind gusts were going to tear off the siding during the night. It may have, but it's too darn cold to go look.

“Historically, freedom is a rare and fragile thing . . . Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell
