I was labeled a Deplorable, now I'm a Nationalist rather than a Globalist! As a USA Veteran I will proudly wear that to protect our Nation!
When they can figure out how to legislate Morality and Conscience I will consider talking more gun laws.

    Hate.

The guy that did it is 34. You should be past spray painting and general vandalism way before 34.

Jay A. Keeven, the police chief in nearby Edwardsville, Ill., which is investigating the vandalism of the homes, said he did not believe that the man had timed his crime to fall over Memorial Day weekend.

“I think this individual made a poor choice,” he said, adding that the man was someone the police were familiar with. He said he could not elaborate and would not identify the man until he was formally charged on Tuesday.
I think a crime like this goes beyond merely making "a poor choice."

...and he will get a slap on the wrist and sent along his ways to do as he will. Why do I picture a future mass killer???
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

I agree, however in a case like this they should get sent to prison for a predetermined length of time. Should half to be able to pass a GED equivalency test and learn a basic trade before being released back to society. Prison should be just that, prison. Locked in a cell, out for 3 meals and classes to pass GED and learn a trade. Maybe 1 hour of outdoor stretching and exercising if they earn it. No radio, no TV, no Movie night, no internet, etc. Make prison a punishment not a vacation.

I'd start with him cleaning every last one of the headstones. Then, he could maintain each of those graves with shears for a year. While he does that, he can read the biography of each of those souls...perhaps meet their families.

I'm thinking community service with places like harvest house or the wounded warrior project. Give him a CLEAR understanding about the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform.
