My question is, how did they get your email addresses?

I received it too. I've seen a LOT of scam/phishing emails in the past (at one point it was my job to deal with them), and to be honest, this email looks like it's just being done via a third-party mailer. My alarm bells didn't go off with it.

And that's a very good question. And associate it to TA.net?

I noticed one in my spam folder this morning. I never opened it, I just deleted it...

That's the first thing that occurred to me. Since so many of us got it there's only one conclusion ... TA got hacked.

I've gotten two or three of them that were TA related, and several more that may be the same thing- Rimfire Central sends a periodic recap of active topics and so does a drone pilot site that I belong to. So far none of them seem to be soliciting anything, either money or information, so I can only assume that they intend to sell advertising. Hard for me to tell with Ad Blocker Pro at work...

Ok. Here's the latest on this. The owners forgot to notify us, but this is going to be the new method of sending out newsletters. There will be one version for active members, and another for those less active.

So, it's all legit, with a new look.

    Relax now, and Carry on.

    The new method?
I didn't even know there was an old one.
