Our local home improvement store has already removed every yeti product and advertisement sign. They didn't wait to act. I'm sure they didn't sell a lot of the overpriced stuff, so they'll probably benefit from the action.

I'm starting to see people selling Yeti coolers on Facebook for CHEAP! A lot of the ads state they are selling them because they no longer support the company.

I'll not be selling mine, and would jump at a good deal on a large cooler if it was from an individual. Just owning one doesn't constitute supporting them - as long as Yeti or their distributors don't benefit.

News story on local stations last night had Yeti denying that they had severed relations with NRA.

    SNOPES report here: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ye...business-ties/

Guess we each have to decide for ourselves what the real story is.
I don't own a Yeti cooler, just a couple of insulated tumblers.

Just an old guy who has enjoyed fast cars and guns since I was about 12 years of age.

Here is a response from Yeti that was posted on FB. Like I said on the OP, I wanted to wait for a response from Yeti before passing judgement. Now to make up my mind if this is actually from Yeti or just a stockholder panicking.

What is odd is that Yeti is late to the "we hate the NRA" party. I would be curious to know what made them pull the trigger now after the original buzz had pretty much subsided.

Their non-apology sounds more like damage control... but I guess it is possible they just picked a poor time to stop programs that are not as profitable for them as they used to be. I know they have been hurting because of competitors that undercut their prices and whose products perform just as well.

Today, I finally did something about gun violence. I walked into Academy Sports right up to where their guns are displayed and gave them little buggers a good piece of my mind.
Afterwards, they all promised to stay home at night and not commit any more senseless violence.
