In my close to 50 years of being here I think we have managed to live through a couple dozen end of the world prophesies. It truly makes me wonder why these folks continue throwing out dates? Maybe because if you keep doing that sooner or later you will be right, and these folks need to feel special. I take special umbrage with this particular one though, seeing has how it's on my birthday, and I have a wonderful day planned ending with a dinner with the wife at one of my favorite restaurants. Here's hoping that doesn't get screwed up for some silly doomsday event.

As an added bonus to buying some ocean front property in Arizona, today and this weekend only we'll throw the Golden Gate in, free! (Hmm, sounds like there might be a country song there, somewhere.)

But wait! There's more! Call now and we'll also include the Brooklyn Bridge! (Hey, if you've hooked 'em with the Golden Gate, might as well go for broke )

Well that just means more guns for us leftovers. I'd say I'll finally have chance to drive anything I want, but I'm pretty sure car salesmen won't be on the first train out.

If He doesn't then myself and a lot of folks here are in deep "kimshee".

I think he said something like "only the Father knows". Good thing we're paraphrasing, wouldn't wanna quote anything and have to give myself a vacation.

To anyone who thinks they may be a winner, im taking donations of worldly goods and money, you dont want to just leave that stuff laying around for just anyone after all

As to end of the world stuff, i went on a cruise a few years ago we went to some mayan ruins, this was a year before the mayan calendar ended back in 2012. The guy who was our guide, who was of mayan decent, and had been brought up with the old stories, said, "eh, the person that made it decided to stop, it isnt the first time, we have older ones that also ended, you americans have ones that end every year dont you?"

I don't have anything of worth. I gave all my firearms to the church.
