    Daddio,
Traveling is a term sometimes used when talking about your experiences when becoming a mason. I believe it is also reffered to in other endevours such as lifes travels and such. Not exclusive to masonry.

My father inlaw is a mason and has sparked my interest in becoming one. For all those interested, reading the article on wikipedia may be helpful as it was to me. Here is the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry

If that's the case, don't post in here. Any other derogatory post will be deleted.

If you would like to post some factual information, by all means, do so. That's part of a 'discussion' that could be happening here rather than a barrade against him for his choices in life, be it right or wrong in your opinion.

Not that I'm counting, but John Wayne, Davey Crockett (and a large group of Alamo defenders), Samuel Colt, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Rudyard Kipling, Wolfgang Mozart, all were masons..

Very evil people, if you ask me <>

As Claude Rains said in Casablanca, "I'm shocked!"

And I forgot...my grandfather, my great uncle, my dad's cousin, several of my friends (several more became friends later)

Great! Thanks for the deletion. I kinda thought I was just trying to explain myself in a nice kinda way.

Re: Any Freemasons on Taurus Armed.Net

I'll add that my late grandfather was a Mason. He was a Master Mason, which apparently all become. I know he held some title in his lodge or group. I don't know any more about this than what Wikipedia says & my grandfather related. I was young when he was telling me about his ring. I only remember (if I am remembering this correctly......it's been 25 years) that he said that it had to do with being an upstanding person and being morally better. I could be totally wrong.....it's been a while.

I don't have any other experiences to relate. However, my granddad was a good man, a christian man. He wasn't cultish or odd in any way. He was also the state champion in checkers (seriously, I know it sounds funny) in Tennessee some year. He loved to play checkers.

My only interest in this is knowing more about him by learning about what he was involved in.
