    There IS a conspiracy

    I am convinced of it.
I mean, who likes blue or green ones? Nobody, right?
Yet someone has loaded the bags of M&Ms with blue and green, shorting the much better red and brown.

    Why???

It is a leftist conspiracy to destroy the morale of America!

I have started a spreadsheet to prove my point.
Perhaps with scientific data, I can alert the country before it is too late.
Brown Red Orange Yellow Green Blue
    4 6 2 6 6 8

So, OK, maybe my preliminary data may not be convincing. But I'm sure as I continue my research, you will see that I am correct.

If the Russians hacked Clinton's email then she is guilty of a felony for exposing classified information to a hostile government.

I've developed a method of breeding M&M's that I think you should investigate.
I've been using this technique for a few years and it has been productive for me.

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength
and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels.

Taking two M&Ms between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together
until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the "loser," and I eat the inferior one immediately.
The winner gets to go another round.

I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior.
I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense
theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world.

Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest.
Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength.
In this way the species continues to adapt to its environment.

When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd.
Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars,
A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3x5 card reading, "Please use this M&M for breeding purposes."

This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms.
I consider this "grant money." I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion.

    There can be only one.
    Remember:
    Life is short.
Make sure you spend as much time as possible
on the internet arguing with strangers about politics.

I guess that mile high altitude affects your taste buds. To me they all taste the same but I prefer the greens over all the others.
As to the color count, the dark brown is about 1/3rd the total count, at least in the 56 ounce bags.

I get mine shipped in from Australia so they're actually "W&Ws".

We owe much to the richness of America. It is only in those few countries where people are not at a subsistence level that science can advance. But even you can help in this endeavour, because even as you help with counting M&Ms in order to prove that Mars is trying to take over the planet, you can feed your children.

    Welcome to the resistance!

I think you might be on to something. Especially since there are brown ones, but no white ones. Hmmmm.....

I admit that I am bigoted, I do not like hard colored candies unless they are Jolly Ranchers. Also my peanuts must be milk chocolate covered w/o a shell.
