Looks like mid to late 80s.
Had one, rusted apart after the paint fell off.

Oil/gas is going up. That thing probably gets 8 MPG running down a mountain with the engine shut off.

Worked in a full service gas station when I was in high school. We had 2 old ford pickups we drove as service vehicles.
The guys used and abused those truck's, and they just kept running.

In 1979 the Ford dealer (where I lived then) got the '80 models in. I had a GMC (still do) but those '80 Fords were cool. The paint colors were neat, body and trim were minimal style. Loved them - and a local guy had a '78 that was even cooler! Sort of a chocolate brown, half-ton 4x4 with standard cab and 8' box. Dang it was sweet - had the big 6-cyl. (300 CI I think)

You can't do it with the engine shut off. If it's a Ford......even to go downhill......yer gonna' haf'ta' get a good run for it.

Of course it's fantastic! Does anyone else even bother to make pickup trucks? If so, why do they bother?

Oh boy, another pickup truck thread to demonstrate unwavering brand loyalty. Lemme get something to snack on and a drink, I'll get comfy and watch the fun.
