Please encourage your wives to get a mammogram screening. My wife just got hers done today and the results were negative..thank God. She doesn't have to go back for at least another year, so we're both relieved. Don't wait ladies, do it now!

True enough! Apparently, it hurts a bunch, but that beats the alternative.

The problem with that is the cost...I pay for it with a prostrate exam.

Panda- thank you. It's easy just to keep putting it off. I am several months overdue, but will try to make the appointment the first part of the week. The test I REALLY dred, is the one with the Rear Admiral!

Thankfully my Wife does get it done on a regular basis. Just as important is for guys to get a colonoscopy once they reach 50. I know several coworkers that are very thankful they got it when they detected colon cancer early enough to do something about it. Great message and thanks for posting it!

That and a pap test. The inconvenience/cost and the fear of possibly finding an abnormality are probably the main reasons that people put off these procedures (men included with physicals for the prostate and both for colonoscopy) but the absolute bottom line (bad pun) is that anything found is much less expensive and affords a better outcome the earlier it's discovered.
