They're alright. I can honestly say I've never had a craving for them, but I eat them when offered. Now sea turtle! That's a dang good meat! I love eating sea turtle its hands down my favorite meat! Elk and wagyu tying for number two.

Yes, yes on the eating of the frog legs, and the whole Missouri thing of wading in from the crik side is entirely correct, AND from any side, gigs, 22s, hands, fists, anything to get those croakers to croak. On the noodlin', yesirree!!!! just remember to always go straight in under water, or down, NEVER UP with your hand. You could find an open air pocket inhabited by water moccasins, musk rats, or beavers, all of which are territorial and see your appendage as a fighting and/or dining opportunity. Big cats, channels, blues, or flatheads hide in the water filled pockets and can be pulled out once they clamp down on your arm. While not wearing as many battle scars from this 'hobby' as Dad, it is a fun and exciting way to spend an afternoon.

When I was growing up in Calif. We had family in Bakersfield. When we went up there we would go frog gigging. This back in the late 40's early 50's.
