    Slight rant

I won't be on here much over the next few weeks/month. July 1st starts our new fiscal year so that is when all the new computer equipment comes in.

This week ur regional managers come in and I have a two days to deploy their new laptops, transfer the data from their old laptops to the new ones, retire their old laptops, and give them training on Windows 10.

One of the VPs in another division stated that nobody in his division gets a new laptop until he gets his. Well two people in his department had failing laptops, so I quickly deployed his laptop to him, so I could continue to deploy laptops to people that really need them.

My boss comes into my office and tells me that he complained to the CEO that I gave him a new laptop without any instruction. My boss wanted me to know if I had 5 minutes to give him training. I told him no and that I would retrieve his new laptop and his entire division can wait to get their new equipment after the rest of the company.

I must have had the crazed look in my eyes because my boss said he would take care of the training for me.

Sucks doesn't it ! Every now and then I need to be reminded of why I retired, and wonderful it is not having to put up with slugs.

we had a gold digger that was shagging our division president (till his wife arrived) who got herself hired as a clerk who made the same demands and even got the program manager to give her his pc to shut her up. but once the wife arrived and a dime got dropped, first layoff arrived and both she and her mother were deemed excess. She was knows as the Black Widow because of getting people who stood up fired.. I lost all respect for upper management at that point

When I hung this sign on my door anyone who needed me went to the gal in finance and she called, if she thought it was necessary.

    Sounds like fun.

Glad I got out of IT. No more dealing with crazed CEO s and 22 Vice Presidents of everything under the sun, and each one thinking they are more important than the other. 😁

Now I deal with government employees who.. well are government employees.

Have fun, rhuber. Put your foot down if you have to. We are with you.

I wish I had a door to hang this on. All I have are a couple walls.

Some do, some don't. Frankly, I was always happy to be a floater! LOL I highly suspect many of my ex-coworkers felt the same about Teflon Wino. Never lost a corporate back stab war but was elated to finally leave that crap behind.
