    I remember hearing about this case. On the bright side, Mississippi has the death penalty.

    On the other hand, he will almost certainly spend longer on death row than the girl spent alive. Have seen it happen often. John Joubert raped and killed an 11 year old boy in Maine in 1982 and two 11 & 12 year old paper boys in Nebraska in 1982/83 and spent 12 years on death row after confessing.

    So....Now we pay thousands and thousands of dollars to keep him alive for years on end, until we finally execute him? Could our system be the slowest in the world? Could those tax dollars be used in good somewhere else?
