    Ganja and Glocks

I have a neighbor that is ex military and must be some sort of security. He leave's the apartment with a gun in a holster in his hand everyday. Problem is I l away's smell dope from his apartment. You cannot have a concealed and a pot card, doesn't happen in Nevada. Should I turn him in to the police dept? I already know my answer I just want to hear some opinions. I'm tired of the self rightous that believe the law doesn't apply to them. Chime in. I won't bring it up to him since it's not my position.

This world would be a much better place if people would mind their own business.

    Obama: AK-47s are for soldiers.
    Arwine: MAK-90s are for civilians.

I agree with Cariwine. Is he stoned while carrying? While I don't like the idea of someone getting stoned and carrying a gun, it seems less frightening to me than someone getting drunk and carrying a gun. And we know that happens. Yeah, I know, two wrongs don't make a right. But there are, IMO, far worse things going on. And if he's not wielding a gun while stoned . . . Then I guess it's really not my business. Illinois has a fledgling medical marijuana law. If someone gets a card, they lose their gun rights. I think that's a crock o' caca.

I may disagree but I don't guess I have enough information. We don't know if he is breaking the law. Is he putting people at risk? If he killed someone tomorrow would you still feel you'd done the right thing.

There is a moral right thing to do and it is often not easy to figure out and harder yet to do. It is easier to hide behind 'mind your own business' or 'don't judge'?

    Just my opinion.

...When my eldest son asked me what he should have done, had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908, whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defended me, I told him that it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. When your front doors are 15' apart and his old lady bangs on my door in the middle of the night with a pillow and blanket in hand I make it my business. No I didn't answer the door.

Sorry, I think I was misunderstood. I don't have an issue helping the authorities with lawless behavior in my community. We complain about the decline of our society and yet good people stand by. This guy seems to be breaking all ATF rules at once. And if something happens I will not be the guy that says 'oh Bob, he was a great neighbor, never expected him to go postal'. I'd much rather say 'I told the authorities I saw some high risk behaviors and had some concerns'.

    Well...you're harshin' my buzz dude....

Seriously...if he was not leaving with a gun everyday would you still turn him in? I mean just smoking pot makes him one..."...of the self righteous that believe the law doesn't apply to them." Do you dial 911 when someone is in a handicap space without a placard?

Frankly, I'd turn him in, to many people these days saying"It's none of my business.................
Until something goes wrong and affects them personally..................

There are "four boxes" that can be employed to resist the downfall of America, the ballot box, the soap box, the jury box and, lastly, the ammo box.
