    Visions of yesterday

    My wife has been raiding museum websites around the areas her family is from. Some of the pictures she gets have relatives in them, some are just interesting to her. Some of them are interesting to me, because it makes a bygone era more personable. I thought I'd post some of them, and if you folks have any, post yours;

    Cheatin' a bit here, these aren't pictures of yesterday, per se......just my personal yesterday. These are pics of a railroad tunnel here in town. When I was a kid, we went to my grandmother's house every Sunday for dinner and she lived just down the road from this tunnel. Often on our way home, my Dad would take my brother and I for a walk through this tunnel. The line was abandoned in 1969 and road expansion eventually led to the tunnel being closed off on the west end but you can still go in. It's small, only a few hundred feet long but in the winter time, it can get pretty spectacular with ice formations. This is the east end entrance...........
