Last year I had a S&W revolver, being shipped from NC to Oregon that left a shipping facility and disappeared for almost a full 3 days, when it showed up art a facility in Maine. Thank you Postal Orifice.

    Maybe, just maybe.

    Arrived Madison 4:05 this morning
Departed Madison 6 minutes later at 4:11 enroute to my little post office.
If it makes it there before noon today (closing time), I should have it in my clutches tomorrow.

UPS is hands-down the best, in my experience. USPS next, then FedEx. Frustrating as heck, ain't it?

I'm waiting on some new boots today, coming by UPS. USPS got a 740 mag to me in record time this week. Mailed on Monday, arrived Wednesday.

I have 100% confidence in FedEx that they will screw up. So far over the years EVERYTHING they have touched has been LOST, BROKE, DAMAGED or a combination of the above. If it ships FedEx, keep it, I'll do business with someone else. The post office delivered a flat rate box from out west in 3 days. I'm happy with that.

I'll check with my post office here in Oregon and ask if they've seen it.

Drove down to the post office about 11:45. Talked with the post master. No delivery from FedEx. I Left from there about 12:15. Perhaps later it will make it to another PO 4 miles down the road, which is where my post office goes to get the mail for our area. I had told CS my place closes at noon during the week and 9:45am on Saturdays and if it was closed, carry it to the other one. Very doubtful. Probably see a new status around 10pm- midnight. Have a UPS coming today. Bet it makes it here.

The whole "UPS gives it to the P.O. for final delivery irritates th &###! out of me. The day after that caused my package to be returned to sender the UPS truck was here delivering a package to my wife They drive past our place every day.

An even better one happened a couple of days ago. The UPS driver left a package at the end of the driveway in the rain (ironically, it was a raincoat). My wife mentioned it to the owner of the LGS, which is also the UPS shipping point. He checked and the driver said he was afraid of my dog. Well I was home, and as I said, that dog does not like the rain so I never let him out in the rain by himself because he will do his business on the porch. I have to put on (yes again ironically,) a rain coat, put him on a leash and drag him off the porch, which I would certainly remember doing, and would have seen the UPS truck if I had been out there.

I really don't think we can blame one company, or maybe even not the whole industry, I think it may be the way we, as a society have taught too many/allowed too many to do their jobs

Yeah. Having something gaining frequent flyer miles at a rate like that needs to stop.
