Saddest news I have awakened to in a long time.

His work with Rick Deringer on "Johnny Winter And Live", and his album "Nothing but the blues" were very influential in my musical life.

I am beginning to think the "Miss Universe Pagent" is rigged. Have you noticed that all of the winners are from Earth ?

    Great Blues Guitarist dies

Bluesman Johnny Winter has died while on tour in Europe, he was 70 years old. In the late 60's before he got famous my brother worked for him for a short time while he was a very popular local musician touring the south. I always enjoyed his music and he was admired by the likes of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His guitar playing was something to be seen, he was very quick with his fingers. I was fortunate enough to see him play several times in my teens and remember working one of his shows while I was a stagehand. He will be missed.

I very much enjoyed his music! And you are correct. He will be missed.

One of the few concerts that stick in my memory was Johnny and Edgar together in Seattle, with Rory Gallagher as guest guitarist.
    RIP Johnny. Ya done good.
