I didn't realize there was a .45 ACP judge out there. I thought they were all for both .45LC and .410 shotgun shell. Which model is it? If you're not sure, you may be able to enter the serial number on the TaurusUSA web site and get the exact model number.

I don't have a Judge myself, but there are many users on here. Hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will come along soon, but that model number may give them a better hint.

    Good luck.

I have three Judges and none are rated for the .45 ACP. If I'm not mistaken, the .45 ACP has a pressure rating around 21,000 psi while the .45 colt is about 14,000. The manual does not recommend even +p in the Judge. Also there is no room for a moon clip with modification.

My suggestion is don't. The 45 auto should never go in a revolver chambered for 45 Long Colt!

won`t work . a .45 acp will just fall in to the .410 chamber and slide back and forth ( rimless cartridge ) . a smith & wesson Governor can fire .45 acp because it uses moon clips . not very
accurate either because there is so much free bore -----------------------

Although I don’t own a Judge, I would think that the .45 Auto Rim cartridge would work in the chamber. Finding .45 AR might be a bit of a task and would exceed the pressure rating of the Judge making for a hazardous situation. If you want to experiment with higher pressure ammo, buy a Raging Judge. It is build to handle just about anything that you can throw into it.

The rim on 45 auto rim is too thick.
