    Yes or no.
There are "four boxes" that can be employed to resist the downfall of America, the ballot box, the soap box, the jury box and, lastly, the ammo box.

“Historically, freedom is a rare and fragile thing . . . Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell

It's sort of a double-edged sword. Shiny's pretty but except for display, not usually practical. Polished doesn't hide squat, every li'l smudge, fingerprint, scratch etc shows like neon. The reflective qualities can be a downside for actual use, especially on sunny days......I used to have a Hodaka Super Rat and I've pretty much hated chrome on bikes ever since.

Ammo will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no ammo.

Don't kid yourself, if you're open carrying it, they'll spot you a mile away anyway.

I like the matte finish. I actually prefer it on my revolvers. Let us know if you get the gun !

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

I would leave it be. You will have problems shooting on sunny days with reflections. It will also show a lot more in the way of scratches and smudges or finger prints. If it were mine, I would not polish.
