Interesting new Rough Rider - the Rancher

First I've seen of this; it could be a lot of fun.

Here's the article I saw first. Here's the article I saw second. This is riveting stuff, right?

    MSRP is $297.92

Its been out for a few months now but only a few reviews on utoob. I don't think they're hitting the shelves quite just yet. If the street price comes down to less than $250 or so I might be interested if only to round out my cowboy collection, but I don't really see any practical use for it.

It does look like fun. This applies to all of the revolver with stock types any brand, I wonder how you hold it with two hands while firing, seems like in front of the cylinder would not be ideal.

Ah, just watched a video, the hook on the trigger guard lets you hold it with two hands.

There was a discussion on this new rifle in the heritage sub forum about 2 months ago or so I guess

To me it is just another ....if they make it someone will buy it...gadget gun. Not practical and there are far to many "real" .22 rifles to buy.

An 8-9" leather cuff on the inside of your forearm for the supporting arm would be a suggestion.

You could also wear a leather gauntlet glove on your support hand when using a 'standard' support grip/stance. It would have to be pretty tight around the forearm lest the expansion gasses and debris sneak their way past the cuff. Yowch! A gauntlet cuff along with a gauntlet glove would be just the ticket but a nice leather set of both would set you back half the price of the gun itself. I wear long sleeves and gauntlet gloves when I ride the bike so I don't get all sunburned up. Plus it looks really badass and that is what's most important.
