I kinda want one from the nostalgia aspect. Like others here, I remember the old carny shooting galleries. No way in Hades a vendor could get away with that today.
Yeah, well, far as shooting goes, my 10/22 is easy to hold a sight picture and all you have to move in between shots is the trigger. See, the excellent semi-autos and their prices are probably the reason I never got a pump....OR a lever gun for that matter.

This hoss is in the stable! Was contemplating a range trip today, but will wimp out on that. I would have favored the cocobolo grips I think and asked the seller if he had any with darker grips than the camo. No response yea or nay and what you see it what I got. It's cleaned and oiled and ready. The holster that I bought for my CVA Colt Navy replica fits also so I am ready to roam with wild, wild west. I may get a bug up my butt and see if I can find suitable blanks of black walnut and trace out some grips from the OEM supplied.

Range report to follow...when I get up off my duff.

Is this the steel with satin finish? I've seen comments that satin finish will hold up much much better than the standard "paint". Your grips are cool but I can see how the novelty would wear off. I put larger 'target' grips on my RR's (pics elsewhere in this thread) and love them.

Now you can go shoot'en without waiting for the Wrangler release and wondering if they will have a no-melt version.

If you go to the accessories page on the Heritage manufacturing website they have a number of nice-looking grip sets including cocobolo and they're only about $29 a set I believe.

I see gun control as waiting in an ambulance at the bottom of a cliff when we should be building a fence at the top!

I don't know, I think that checkering in the little fleur-de-lis covers up the color of the wood you don't get to enjoy the grain or the true color of the Rosewood when they are made like that.

I got a kick out of a seller's description! I never had a set of grips that were "laminated solid wood" before.

These are more classic and along the lines you're thinking of, they are asking a lot for S & H however.

You like what you like... so get'em.

I too noticed the wood stock is laminated. My eyes would prefer that a nice carving pattern like that to be on stock that does not also have its own interesting lam pattern... too much going on.

FYI... the ones on ebay... offer 25-35% less... many sellers will counter with a price lower than the original.
