Yeah I do not see taking it for long rides but for zipping around running errands it would be a blast !

These lights were added strictly for safety/visibility. I never leave home riding without them.

Don't ride in the rain, but I'll let you know how the "road-drying-out-factor" works out if I ever get caught out in a driving rainstorm!

    UPDATE:

Sadly, my seizures resumed in late July, 2017, and my dosage of anti-seizure meds had to be increased (which causes me to be drowsy all the time); so I decided it would be prudent for this old man to put the bike up for sale on craigslist. On September 17, 2017, a young man named Doug became the new owner of the Honda Shadow VLX600 Deluxe. I sold it for what I paid for it: $2,000; and I enjoyed 7 months of riding pleasure as I checked the last thing off my bucket list.

Riding a motorcycle is truly one of the great joys in life and I'm sorry you had to give it up. I appreciate your wisdom but no likes on this one. I wish you could have ridden to the end of the road.

I am glad you had the opportunity to enjoy your ride and sad it ended too soon.

I am thankful that the Lord granted me the opportunity to ride with my younger brother since January. It is kinda' sad that it had to come to an end, but all things in this earthly life eventually come to an end.

Sorry to hear about the seizures coming back. Glad you enjoyed it while you could.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.
