I saw the video of him shooting the M2, but my question was this - what kind of indoor range will hold up to .50 cal fire?! Kind of makes you wonder what kind of ammo they were shooting - or what kind of armor the trap is made of.

Listen to it, look at the brass. It's not a 50BMG. And at $5/ round, who in their right mind would let him go through a whole belt? What ticks me off is that he keeps harping on the AR15 rifle as being used at Newtown. Does he not watch his own channel? They reported over the weekend that the initial report shows that ALL gunshot wounds were from handguns, and that 4 handguns were found in the building and NO long guns.

Sure looked like an M2 to me, and so did the brass. As far as the sound - who knows what kind of filters they had on the microphones. They did say it's a pre ban (1986) model, but that gun hasn't changed a lot in the last fifty years. I did see one piece of what appeared to be pistol brass out in front of him, but I'm thinkin' it was already on the floor and one of the larger pieces of brass hit it. What you're seeing come out of the top of the port is the disintegrating belt links. If you look at the brass that's landing between his knees - sure looks like .50 BMG.

Yeah, that was a Ma Deuce, alright.
The pistol brass was likely left over from some of his prior "introductions" to these massive killing machines.

And I haven't heard a peep about the 4 pistols/no long gun report..

By keeping his finger on the trigger thingy for as long as he did I think he may have liked it. However, he would not dare admit it. I still say send the “subject” back to where he belongs.

I loved this comment made by one viewer: “I wonder if Piers realizes that if the gun he just fired didn't exist, his country could very well be speaking German.”

It's called a butterfly trigger. The thought that went through my mind when they got talking about rates of fire was the difference between cyclic and sustained rates of fire - and how fast you can burn up a barrel by holding the trigger down. But alas - we'll probably have to get them understanding the difference between semi automatic and select fire first.

I watched that show night before last cause i just wanted to see what he was up to and how the people responded . First off they need to spread that video part where he admitted he liked shooting that machine gun and it gave him a thrill ! That needs to go viral on YouTube ! Other than that i loved the way Ted Nugent backed remarked back to him and i was waiting for him to just WHACK HIM but he never did ... that would have been good !
