    Still no ammo (sigh...)

I took a walk down the ammo isle at our local Sportsman’s Warehouse today (Denver suburb) and still no sign of the ammo shortage lessening. Still almost entirely empty shelves and completely empty platforms where ammo boxes where once packed and stacked on top of each other. I just thought I’d see if perhaps there might be a box or two of 22, 380, 9, 45, 38 sp, or 20 gauge. Nada, zero, zip. Just an occasional stray box of 44 mag, 454, lone box of 357 buffalo bore, one box of 410 gauge. I could have swore I saw a tumble weed blow by.

Any sign of things improving any where else?

Yeah, I was just searching online for 20 gauge buckshot. Forget it. I'll just have to save the few rounds I have left. Thankfully, there's dove loads around for the dove opener.

It's like it was under Obama. I had to followed the company truck into the parking lot and wait to see if was on the truck. By the time its was on the shelf it was sold out again. If they do get some in its not much. With a hoard going again it will spring before its in stock. Christmas years back I saw a 4 foot by 4 foot pallet of Winchester 555rd boxes of .22 sell out at bass pro in less than an hour. One box per customer.

Check Ammoseek.com for what you need but don't wait too long prices are jumping every day. It's crazy. My friend ordered 200 rounds of .38 special last week and last evening the prices were ~$8 higher per box than what he paid. He texted me last night to say "I should have ordered more,...".

was down at the range today, NO 9 MM, no 380,
NO 45 acp range or self defense ammo.
they had like 10-12 boxes of 9 MM FMJ on the range side for range use only and maybe 12-14 boxes of the same in 380, no 45 acp even for range use.
I am so de[pressed I think I will go down to the olfarhors Lab-or-a -tory tomorrow and make a few thousand rounds of each.

I still have enough ammunition on hand to fully load every firearm I own...but only because I sold all but 2 pistols. And both of them are derringers.

OH, come on now, you know me better than that...right!!

Juat for grins, I checked the ammo at Cabelas and Academy this morning, nada on popular pistol calibers.

I;m happy I didn't go to sell any of my surplus ammo at the gun show last week, the price will go up and I may sell some November 3rd. After the election and Trump the clear winner, it will get cheap again.

I should update what I have on hand. I should also see what I have in ammunition that I no longer have a need for and see if someone local wants to swap for something I can use. I'm pretty sure that I still have some 38Super rounds but nothing to fire it in any longer. May even have some 327Mag ammo tucked away.
