    Coming out of retirement!

Just got back from the job interview and am so excited.

Tomorrow morning I report to begin training and orientation here:

    https://www.mcmillersportscenter.com/

Will be starting a new career as a Range Safety Officer. Part time, looks like Wed - Fridays and maybe a fill-in when asked. I was so excited and tickled about getting this part time job that I forgot to ask what the pay was. Not that it matters. Will get me out of the house doing something constructive along with something I believe I will enjoy.

It's been over 5 years since I've punched a time clock.

Wow, congratulations! You'll be a government employee!

Going to the range won't even feel like work. Do you get to shoot for free? No issues testing new loads.

Wow, sounds like a GREAT job for a guy who hangs out on TA.net. However, don't punch the timeclock. It may get you fired and even worse, it may give you a broken hand!

    Congrats!

Wow.....some guys have all the luck.
I got a job today too.....the wife made me take up all the rugs, sweep the floor, move all the furniture. Then she mopped, and then made me move all back into place. I'll be glad when she can go back to her real job.

Anyway.....still happy for you- good luck on you new gig.

Well done! I've been on disability for 5 years now and have volunteered my time (I make plenty on my 2 disability policies) to local ranges if they ever need an extra. The one with the indoor range is still selling curbside with the range closed for now. All I would ask is an employee discount - don't want a salary or any benefits.
