Good for you, kmw1954! Sounds like a great situation!

I believe we are built to work; body, mind, and soul. Idleness is not good for us.

    ....sure can be fun though.

I don't see myself ever fully "retiring". Minister at church we used to attend said "re-tiring" was putting new tires on. Finding something else to do.

I'll always be doing something. I've got a couple hobbies I could turn into money makers if I want.
It is a wonderful place to work and with good. People. My boss will be leaving in July as he is going to Seminary School and then back into the military to be a "Sky Pilot" Chaplin. Seems that most everyone there working the ranges are part timers.

As for Work. I was tired before I quit working and now after 3 day I',m Re=Tired. Mt feet haven't hurt this bad in 5 years!

As I have stated I am not working out of need but out of want. Trying to regain some semblance of sanity. After all the dog isn't much of a conversationalist and as much as I like you all here, I need more! It has been nice to get out and interact with real people in-person. Will now have to see if the thrill wears off or if I just get too beat up.

Congrats! I wonder what it'd be like to like your job? I can't work at anything anymore, physically, but that one has perks.

kmw1954 - Congratulations on the new gig! Enjoy!

Sounds like something I would like to do, as I served as a Range Safety Officer at my Pistol Club's indoor Range for many years.
I also served as a USPSA Certified Range Officer, back when I was more of an active competitor.

Thanks jwc007, now I find I'm going to have to really watch my edema in my legs and feet. Sunday morning I woke up and for the first time in over 1.5 years I'm all swollen. So this week will put on the compression socks and see what happens. Right now they are really counting on me working 3 days, Wed. - Friday so don't know how well they would take it to ask for only 2 days.

For now am hoping to get this under control as so far I am liking this. In my first 3 days I have already meed a bunch of the regulars and like here they are great people!

Congrats on your new cool gig. Hopefully your body will adjust to the rigors of the new routine. You may find relief from OTC pain/inflammation meds.
