    Just For Fun - Cleaning Supplies and Tools

    Just for fun, list your favorite non-standard firearm cleaning supplies or tools (i.e. no patches, Hoppes, CLP, Rem Oil, etc.).

    I'll go first;

    - Dental Pick

    - Straight and Curved Medical Hemastats

    - Qtips

    I use:

    Brake cleaner

    alcohol

    tooth brushes

    copper and plastic scrub pads

    Those come to mind now, but probably more that haven’t.

    My main ones, I suppose would be brake cleaner and Q-tips. I always try to keep a few cans of brake cleaner on hand because it's useful as a general solvent. The Q-tips you have to watch and make sure they don't bits of cotton behind.

    Other than that, I also use an ultrasonic cleaner when detail stripping a weapon. I don't know if that really counts as "non-standard."

    I really hate that when a big old clump of Ear Wax gets stuck in the barrel!

    I don't clean 'em. When they start to malfunction, I just throw 'em away and buy a new one. That's why I shoot plastic guns like Glock.
