    In KY,

    KRS 39A.010, 39A.020, or 39A.030. specifically prohibits the governor from closing guns stores, or interfering in any way, during an emergency.

    Yes, some states have exceptions for gun stores, others do not. The article lists a few examples.

    Apparently there was a big push by gun proponents after Katrina, when it appeared Louisiana officials had the authority to confiscate guns. Many states added laws to prohibit anti-gun moves by their executives.

    Imagine if governors had the authority to prohibit the sale of newspapers...or Bibles...or services of an attorney? Why do the idiots think any different of guns?

    Actually, NOLA DIDN'T have the authority to seize guns. They just did it.
