    Feeling Smart

With all this political and media driven hysteria causing a run on guns and ammo,
I did a quick check of the inventory of ammo.

I have to say that I am in pretty good shape.

Also a good amount of reloading components if things really go south.

    Feeling smart today.

I had work done in the house last fall. It took me 3 days to move all the ammo to the garage, mostly cause I'm old and weak. Next time I borrow the cart from work.

I grabbed two bottles of 700X at the store the other day just to feel like I did something to prepare. I looked at my stores and see that I have plenty of components on hand even before that buy. Between those parts and the finished rounds in stock, I am in no sweat to acquire more.

A hand truck works great for moving multiple 50cal ammo cans. And of course other things too.

Like wrench, I feel pretty prepared. I buy more ammo when window shopping and browsing than I do groceries and household goods I'm actually shopping for. I asked my wife if she thought if I had enough gunns and ammo she said "yes, but it's all outside in the safe". I reminded her I filled my gun safe to capacity 3 years ago and that I had more guns and ammo inside the house than I had in the safe. She had the audacity to ask where they were. . . .God bless her pea pickin' heart. I reminded her of the bedside gun safe opened by RFID bracelet, the bedside shotgun, the bedside AR15 and bedside AK47, the three 1911s and 3 GLOCKs and 3 SIGs , etc and the other 4-5 guns hidden throughout the house along with 1000s of rounds of ammo for them. I had even put a few guns and boxes of ammo into the China cabinet where she keeps her fine China and silverware! Other than 10mm, which I only have a couple hundred rounds at this time, I think I'm covered for a bit.

For every powder I use I have a 1# canister and at least 1 8# jug. I just keep refilling the 1# canister from the 8 # jug.

When any of the 8# jugs get below 1/2 I put it on my to order list. As soon as one of the jugs get below 1/4 I order everything on my list. Usually qualifies for free shipping and combined hazmat charges.

I bought a 100 round box of .380 acp hollow points last year, my total ammo purchases for the year.

I have had thoughts of stopping by one gun shop this week to see what they would be willing to pay for 1500 .45 acp target rounds, and 1000 rounds of 9mm ball ammo.

I have 7,000 rounds of .22 ammo also to sell, including 1,000 rounds of CCI Mini Mags, but I think that gun shop still has plenty left over of .22 ammo I sold him years ago after the Sandy Hook shootings
