So, Does length really matter?
Question is, does length really make a difference overall.
I am looking at possibly buying a Long Slide upper to go on one of my FNS-40 pistols. The standard barrel on the FNS-40 is 4 1/2", the long slide barrel is 5". I can pick up the full upper (slide with night sights, barrel, spring/rod, back straps, had plastic case and 1 magazine) for around $125 delivered.
I am also looking at a local purchase of a FNS-9 in stainless like new in box including 3 magazines and night sights. The conversion mentioned above will fit on the FNS-9 lower. Asking price is $275.
Adding this to my FN collection would allow me to dedicate lowers to give me a:
FNS-40 Long Slide
But, back to the original question, will the additional 1/2" barrel length actually result in more accurate shooting? Or is it a waste of time and money to explore this route.
Thanks in advance.
